Lightning strike causes Streamwood fire
Fire broke out after lightning struck a house in the 200 block of Hackberry Drive in Streamwood Monday morning, a fire official said.
The house was smoking when fire crews arrived and put out the small blaze. Damage was limited to the exterior of the house, the official said. Firefighters had to remove some of the siding to get to the fire.
There were no injuries reported and the home's residents should be able to return to the house, the official said.
