Bring unwanted items for recycling in Lake County

Lake County residents are invited to celebrate America Recycles Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Lake County Division of Transportation, 600 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville. In honor of the day, the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County and Lake County are sponsoring an event that will allow residents to help the environment and dispose of unwanted items they have around the house. Accepted items include household electronics-computers, televisions of any size and a variety of other items. The first few hundred visitors will also receive a small gift and a set of the new go-to recycling guidelines for their homes. For a full list of accepted items and general information, visit www.swalco.org.
