Aurora man gets 6 years for drug possession

A 25-year-old Aurora man was sentenced to six years in prison Friday on drug possession charges.

Last month,

Chester Burgess III, of the 900 block of Lenwood Court, was found guilty of one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Authorities said an Aurora police officer found 23 grams of cocaine and other items associated with drug delivery after executing a search warrant at his home in October 2011.

Burgess was given credit for having already served 372 days in the Kane County jail.
