Christ Church pastor blesses pets

The Rev. Virginia Ericson, pastor of Christ Church United Church of Christ in Des Plaines, celebrated the Blessing of the Pets on Sunday, Oct. 7 at the church.

Owners and pets in attendance were; Henry and Judy Taylor with Fritzie the boxer and Freckles and Harley, their Boston terriers; Tom Christian with Missy, a Boston terrier; Pat Morris with Buddy, an Australian shepherd; Shannon Adcox with Gucci, a Chihuahua; Geneve Hein with Oliver Twist, a Scottie mix; Pete and Pam Malik with Bear, a Great Pyrenees; Therese White with Misha and Mija, two Persian cats; the Landry family with Ginger, a redbone coonhound; Marie Mack with Wrigley, a beagle; Don Meseth with Angie, a golden retriever; Marion Meseth with Tyler, a miniature Schnauzer; Kyle Speer with Barney, a Texan junkyard dog; Kim Darling with Minnie the pug and Coco the Cavalier King Charles spaniel; Kate O'Connor with Molly McGregor, a Cavalier King Charles spaniel and Rochelle Jesse, who brought a picture of her cat, Pumpkin.
