Larkin downs Zion-Benton
Olivia Kofie had 14 kills, 2 blocks and 7 digs and Brianna Stewart added 11 kills, 3 blocks, 2 aces and 4 assists Monday night as Larkin’s girls volleyball team defeated Zion-Benton 25-21, 15-25, 25-21 in nonconference action in Zion.
Alyssa McGhee added 25 assists, 4 digs and 2 kills for the Royals (18-16) while Anna Gaston had 5 kills and 8 digs and Paige Grantham contributed 2 kills, 5 blocks and 2 digs.
Wheaton Academy d. St. Edward: Katie Swanson had 9 kills and 10 digs and Rena Ranallo added 6 kills and 4 digs for St. Edward in a 25-20, 28-26 Suburban Christian loss. Shannon Igielski had 5 kills for the Green Wave (13-17, 5-4) with Allison Kruk adding 12 digs, Clara McDowell 4 digs and Casey Gredzieleski 16 assists.
