Get your costume ready
Svengoolie, aka Rich Koz, appears at Tom and Eddie's from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, where he'll judge a costume contest for kids and adults. Halloween-themed menu items include the Booberry and Frank 'n Berry milkshakes, as well as the Frank 'n Stein (of beer) and a Svengoolie Chicken Sand-witch. Guests receive trick-or-treat bags and souvenir cups.

Taste the regions of Italy at Antico Posto's fall wine dinner. A five-course menu will be served starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, and it includes homemade burrata, lobster ravioli and braised short rib with polenta -- all paired with Italian wines. $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

Port pairings at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
Head for the safety of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse's port wine dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. The five-course meal includes caramelized onion and goat cheese crostini, tawny poached pear and arugula salad, butternut squash bisque, filet mignon and sizzling shellfish trio and artisanal cheeses with fresh berries and nuts. All courses will be paired with port wines. $95 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations required.
