Autumn Leaves of Bolingbrook ground-breaking

With shovels in hand, company executives, financial partners, and the mayor of Bolingbrook turned dirt to celebrate the groundbreaking of Autumn Leaves of Bolingbrook. The cutting-edge memory care community will serve families living with Alzheimer's, dementia and memory impairment. The 26,000-square-foot, $10.2 million memory care assisted living community will serve nearly 50 residents. The expert memory care is extremely important as nearly half of all Americans 85 and older have Alzheimer's, according to the Alzheimer's Association, and by 2025, it is estimated that 240,000 people in Illinois will have Alzheimer's.

“We are excited to become a part of the Bolingbrook community,” said Mitchell Warren, president, The LaSalle Group which owns the Autumn Leaves communities. “We only expand when we know we are not compromising the quality of care at our current communities, and we look forward to providing a home where families can find

compassionate, expert care.”

Autumn Leaves is the national leader in providing expert memory care in a secure home-like environment, and the community incorporates care practices that are specifically designed for residents living with memory impairment. The communities focus on life enrichment programs, nutrition, and personalized programs to engage the residents daily. With the secure design of the community, residents also have access to the entire building, including outdoor courtyards.

“Our goal is to provide peace of mind to our residents' families, and both dignity and quality of life to our residents,” said Chad Anderson, president, Constant Care Family Management, the property management company for Autumn Leaves communities. “Our staff members undergo vigorous training, and they truly understand the science behind the disease. This level of expertise combined with our family approach to care will allow us to bring a high level of service to the community.”

Autumn Leaves of Bolingbrook will also offer free services to the public including seminars, educational speeches, memory screening, support groups, and free care on Wednesdays to give caregivers and family members respite. This will be the sixth community in Chicagoland, and there are plans to add another community in the future.

“We are seeing the markets loosen up, and we will continue to grow in the Chicago area,” said Brenda Brantley, chief financial officer, The LaSalle Group. “There are many families that need our care, and lenders understand that.”

The project is the result of a partnership with The LaSalle Group, RT Partners and local

lender, BMO Harris Bank. The community is expected to open during the third quarter of 2013.
