Suburban bar associations recently released their recommendations for Cook County judicial candidates running in the Nov. 6 election.
The bar associations weigh in on judges running for retention as well as to fill vacancies on the Illinois Supreme Court, Appellate Court and Circuit Court of Cook County.
Established in 1988, the Suburban Bar Coalition is comprised of the Northwest, North, West, Southwest and South suburban bar associations. The groups collaborated on judicial screening interviews, which were conducted at the Rolling Meadows and Maywood courthouses.
Coalition members rate as recommended or highly recommended all candidates except for the following: Cynthia Brim, Pamela Hill-Veal and Gloria Chevere, who did not appear before the evaluation committee and were therefore not recommended.
