Barrington library hosts used book sale

By

The Friends of the Barrington Area Library will hold its October used book sale Saturday, Oct. 20, and Sunday, Oct. 21, at the library, 505 N. Northwest Hwy., Barrington. Saturday hours will be 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday hours will be 1-5 p.m.

The sale will feature wide selection of both adult and children’s books, as well as a large selection of CDs, videotapes, a large selection of DVDs and other materials. Most items — except for some rare or older books — will be offered at two-for-one on Sunday.

Because the Barrington Area Library is undergoing renovation in the next year, the Friends will not hold any book sales for an indefinite period after the October sale. They will also not be able to accept book donations after Oct. 12, as space will be limited. For a list of organizations that will accept donations, check the library website at www.barringtonarealibrary.org or ask at the library’s hospitality desk.
