Mundelein, Libertyville advance to sectional

The Mundelein and Libertyville girls golf teams are headed to sectional play.

Lake Forest won Wednesday's Class AA Warren regional at Bittersweet Golf Course in Gurnee, as the Scouts shot a 348, but runner-up Mundelein (364) and third-place Libertyville (367) also advanced.

Zion-Benton junior Morgan Kukla was the medalist with a 75.

Mundelein was led by Courteney Fabbri, who fired an 87. The Mustangs also counted Cristina Loverde's 90, Hannah Thompson's 93 and Lorrielle Martin's 94.

Camilla Ou shot an 83 to lead Libertyville. The Wildcats also received an 89 from Lauren Dohse, a 97 from TJ Freberg and a 98 from Izzy Alesna.

Carmel (376) advanced Alex Amato (92), Isabella Bagshaw (93), Taylor Smith (95), Rachel Fraher (96) and Kayla Ryan (102).

Warren (406) got through Rachel Berzin (97) and Ellie McPherson (101).

Wauconda' Annette Yandall also made it through with an 81.
