Grant Gala set for Nov. 3 at Maravela's in Fox Lake

The Grant Community High School Partnership for Academic Excellence is hosting the Eighteenth Annual Gala Dinner Dance on Saturday, Nov. 3, at Maravela's in Fox Lake.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres, an open bar and competitive bidding on hundreds of silent auction items. A gourmet dinner is followed by a live auction and dancing until midnight to the tunes of Absolute Entertainment.

Since its founding in 1985, the Partnership has distributed thousands of dollars to enrich academic opportunities for Grant Community High School students.

Proceeds from the yearly event provide financial assistance for students in need, instructional innovations, and scholarships for outstanding students.
