St. Francis defeats Downers South in three games

Molly Haggerty had 14 kills and Maddie Haggerty 8, and No. 4 St. Francis held off Downers Grove South 25-8, 21-25, 25-14 on Thursday in Wheaton. McKenna Kelsay set 29 assists, Becca Shearer had 6 kills and Sam Dubiel 16 service points for the Spartans (27-5).

Glenbard West d. Larkin:Freshman Natalie Schilling put down 8 kills with 3 blocks, helping the No. 1 Hilltoppers past No. 20 Larkin 25-14, 25-10. Amanda Perry added 5 kills and 3 aces, Megan Wagner 4 kills, Caleigh Ryan 24 assists and Meg DeMaar 10 digs and 2 aces for Glenbard West (27-0).Timothy Christian d. Riverside-Brookfield:Kacie Stoll#146;s 9 kills and 2 blocks and Bridgitt Buikema#146;s 7 kills and 7 digs carries the Trojans (19-7, 7-1 Metro Suburban Conference) to a 25-23, 25-17 win in a matchup of conference leaders. Jenna Lodewyk had 19 assists.Wheaton North d. Glenbard East:The Falcons eased to a 25-16, 25-17 win, Ali Royer#146;s 7 kills and 3 digs and Maddie Hutchinson#146;s 5 kills and 3 aces leading the way. Freshman Grace Tiesman chipped in 3 kills and 3 blocks. For Glenbard East Meghan Hanewall had 7 kills and 5 digs.
