Tudor Oaks Farm in Barrington Hills celebrates 22 years

Horses, carriages and guests of all ages. These were the sights at Tudor Oaks Farm, Barrington Hills, as it celebrated its 20th anniversary Sept. 22.

In 1992, Tudor Oaks Farm began to acquire one of the most select groups of champion Haflingers ever assembled on one farm. It purchased its first fillies at the 1992 auction at Ebbs in Austria, the world’s largest and most prestigious Haflinger breeding and sales facility.

The celebration at Tudor Oaks included horse riding and driving demonstrations, walking tours of the farm, and refreshments. The event brought in close to 200 guests ranging from local Barrington residents to residents of Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Virginia.

Tudor Oaks Farm has evolved over the past two decades to include providing area riders and horse owners with training and instructional services of the highest quality in addition to Haflinger breeding.

Currently, manager and trainer Jennifer Rousseau, along with the farm’s owner, Richard Stephenson, are in Ebbs, Austria, at the Filly sale scouting out new Haflingers just as they did together 20 years ago.
