Tri-Village Garden Club offers presentation on Vermicomposting

Tri-Village Garden Club of Bartlett, Hanover Park and Streamwood invites everyone to hear Kay McKeen's presentation on, "Vermicomposting” Wed. October 17th at the Poplar Creek Public Library, 1405 South Park Ave., Streamwood • 7pm – 9pm

Kay is from SCARCE (School & Community Assistance for Recycling & Composting Education).

"Vermicomposting" Composting is a natural process in which organic matter decomposes into a dark nutrient-rich soil conditioner. Vermicomposting is simply using worms to speed up the process. Worm composting is a simple, clean, pollution-free, odorless way to recycle kitchen scraps into a usable product, right in your own home or classroom. Best of all, you will be reducing the amount of garbage sent to the landfill.

The Tri Village Garden Club of Bartlett, Hanover Park and Streamwood annual dues are only $15. Our meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month. For further information please contact Jill Fox, club president at (630) 830-0118 or visit our website at www.trivillagegardenclub.org
