About this Article

Students in Elgin Community College's culinary arts program are reaping the rewards of tending to the roof-top garden. Their vegetables are being used in recipes served at the Spartan Terrace Cafe. "I started the garden because this is what's going on in our industry," instructor/chef Jill Russell said referring to the farm-to-fork movement that attempts to reconnect people with the source of their food.
