Candidate info packets available for COD board of trustee election

The Consolidated Election packet for the April 9, 2013, election is currently available at the College of DuPage Board of Trustees election web site: www.cod.edu/board-election.

There are two six-year term College Trustee positions open on the College of DuPage Board of Trustees, Community College District #502. The trustees who fill the six-year terms will serve from the date of their swearing in at the Organizational meeting to be held in April or May 2013 through April 2019.

The first date candidates may circulate nominating petitions is Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012. The first date candidates may file their nomination papers is Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, with the deadline listed as Monday Dec. 24, 2012. Ballot position is determined by date and time of filing.

Candidate information packets are available online or can be picked up at College of DuPage, Community College District #502, Student Resource Center (SRC), Room 2135, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.

Completed nominations can be filed either in person or by mail during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at College of DuPage, Community College District #502, Student Resources Center (SRC), Police Dispatch Office, Room 2100, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.

Mailed nominations are not considered “received” until they are received by the local election official. Mailing is at the candidate's own risk and nominations received before the first day of filing or after the last day of filing will not be certified.
