The Schaumburg Park District is inviting residents to view the best Halloween-decorated houses in the community -- or to count their own among them.

The park district's annual Halloween House Decorating Contest will take place the evening of Monday, Oct. 22, with decorated homes judged on their originality, arrangement, theme and overall design. Only the first 10 homes entered will be judged, and winning entrants will be featured on the park district's cable channel and its website, parkfun.com.
