Arlington Hts., Hoffman Ests. police encourage drug disposal

The Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights police departments are among those partnering with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for a drug disposal event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29.

In Arlington Heights, the event will be at the police department, 200 E. Sigwalt St.

In Hoffman Estates, the event will be at the police department, 411 W. Higgins Road.

Residents will be able to properly and safely dispose of accumulated, unwanted and unused prescription pills, including controlled substances, which have not been previously accepted by the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County.

No liquids or needles will be accepted at the event.
