Team effort lifts Warren past Lake Forest

Five different players scored as Warren improved to 11-3-1 with a 5-1 victory over Lake Forest in North Suburban Lake boys soccer Monday.

Tony Severin, Danny Szczepanek, Dan Hengesh, Nick Wegrzynowicz and Timmy Pieper all had goals for the Blue Devils. Goalkeeper RJ Hill had 4 saves for Warren.

Antioch 2, Grayslake North 1: Jon Bohmann and Erik VanTreeck each scored to lead Antioch. Grayslake North got its goal from Fernando Sanchez off a corner kick while goalie Nabojsa Markovic had 3 saves.

Stevenson 2, Deerfield 1: Michael Weinstein and Alex Smith both had goals for Stevenson, which moves to 10-2-1 on the season. Goalkeeper Quentin Low had 7 saves for the Patriots.

Libertyville 3, Zion-Benton 0: Alex Schory and Kevin Calamari combined for 6 saves to help Libertyville preserve the shutout. The Wildcats (8-2-1) got goals from Austin Bitta, Tomide Owolabi and Lloyd Chatfield.
