Chicago Symphony Orchestra on strike, Saturday performance canceled
A Chicago Symphony Orchestra performance scheduled for Saturday night was canceled because CSO musicians went on strike.
The concert was to begin at 8 p.m. at Symphony Center on Michigan Avenue but was canceled after musicians went on strike, according to a news release issued by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association.
The previous collective bargaining agreement expired at midnight on Sept. 16, the organization said.
Ticket holders can exchange their tickets for a future CSO performance, donate their tickets, or request a refund through the Symphony Center Box Office by calling (312) 294-3000.
The CSO website, cso.org, will contain the most up-to-date information on the status of future performances, officials said.
