Did the county board get it right when they decided to leave an ethics ordinance that is more stringent but more open to a legal challenge in place? Would you support the creation of more detailed economic interest statements?
Yes, is good have this kind of ordinances as long there is not abuses . It will be good to create a system of regulation. So the money of taxpayers, will not be expended on legal battles.
Would you support the buildout of the shell space in the Kane County jail if it could be shown that the space could/would be used to increase profits from housing federal inmates?
Not at this time, tax money should not be spend on buildings, but in people, what about on rehabilitation programs to inmates.
Do you believe the county court system needs a computer system upgrade that might cost as much as $12.6 million? If so, do you support using RTA sales tax money to fund it, or do you have a different plan? If not, what is your alternative plan?
Yes, but no more than 5 millions. Private donor and companies should came with the rest including political parties. Remember technology comes and goes.
Do you support the call by the state's attorney and public defender for raises for their staffs? Where should that money come from?
No, The legislative and judicial system are money making machines at the tax payers vulnerability. Public defender and staff make more money than the minimum wages. Than regular hard worker citizens. So, not at this time. hopefully in the future.
What aspects of the Fabyan/Settlers Hill campus redevelopment vision created by the task force do you support? What should happen to the old county jail property?
Yes, I support that this natural resource should be fix and restore. With private effort and the County. The old county jail should be offer to a private institutions willing to have rehabilitation programs for the incarcerated population that are in parole or probation. To provide these as a resource to establish their life and build up a resume by working at the same place and be release from the judicial system and graduate from there at the same time.
