Batavia
• Three vehicles were burglarized overnight between Monday and Tuesday at Certified Auto Towing, 820 S. River St. A 96-piece socket set was stolen, police said.
• Sometime possibly in the last month, somebody stole a railroad switch and an unspecified amount -- several hundred feet -- of rails, from a business on the 1500 block of Lathem Street, according to a police report.
• A vehicle was scratched overnight between Monday and Tuesday on the 1200 block of Surrey Road, police said.
St. Charles
• An iPod Touch was stolen at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday after it was left in a cupholder at the Charlestowne 18 movie theaters, 3740 E. Main St., according to a police report.
• An antique cedar chair, valued at $300, was stolen between 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday on the 600 block of Walnut Street, according to a police report.
• A black iPod and TomTom GPS were stolen from an unlocked 2009 Honda CRV on the 900 block of Secretariat Court between 9 p.m. Sept. 6 and 7 a.m. Sept. 7, according to a police report.
Kane County
• A 60-inch television, Xbox 360, 50 Xbox games, an iPad 2, jewelry and $200 were stolen between 9:30 a.m. and 3:33 p.m. Aug. 31 from a home on the 1100 block of Watson Street near Aurora, according to a sheriff's report.
