Schaumburg Boomers host Oktoberfest

The Schaumburg Boomers baseball team will host a free Oktoberfest featuring live music, food and a large selection of seasonal beer from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6.

Jimmy’s Bavarians, Chicago’s Number One Oompah Band, will take the stage at 5 p.m. and kick things off for the night’s headliners, Ovrevolt. The band creates a cohesive sound from late ‘60s English blues, early ‘70s hard rock and ‘90s grunge.

Coop’s Kids Corner, the Boomers’ inflatable playland complete with a bounce house and obstacle course, will be open for the little ones from 4 to 7 p.m. with all-you-can-bounce wristbands available for $5.
