Stacy’s family hoping for a break in the case

Stacy Peterson’s sister, Cassandra Cales, says she hopes Drew Peterson’s murder conviction will lead to a break in the Stacy Peterson disappearance.

Cales spoke to reporters Thursday outside the Will County courthouse after jurors convicted the former suburban Chicago police officer in the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. Stacy Peterson is Drew Peterson’s fourth wife. He was named a suspect, but never charged in her 2007 disappearance.

Cales says she hopes now Peterson will “wipe the smirk off his face.” She says maybe someone will come forward and feel safe talking in Stacy Peterson’s case “now that Drew’s put away.” Cales spokes about her sister, says she loves and misses Stacy Peterson and has never given up hope in finding her.
