See fall plants at their best at Schaumburg cabin

Explore the beauty of fall plants through free activities.

Pathway to Plants will be from noon to 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 16, at Merkle Log Cabin at Spring Valley.

Participants of all ages will learn to recognize plants through games, activities, books, leaf rubbings, puzzles and a slideshow. Information about upcoming Spring Valley events including National Public Lands Day on Sept. 22, and Autumn Harvest Festival on Oct. 7, will be available.

Preregistration is not required for this free program.

Parking is available at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. Merkle Log Cabin is a 10-minute walk from the Nature Center parking lot.
