An initial McHenry County Sheriff's Department investigation found that the southbound Infiniti failed to stop at a stop sign on Millstream Road, hitting the Jeep that was traveling west on Route 176.

Vehicles on Route 176 are not required to stop at the intersection.

Other passengers in the Jeep included 33-year-old Janet Gomez, Francisco Gomez, 30, and a 1-year-old. Janet Gomez and the infant were taken to Woodstock Centegra Hospital with minor injuries. Francisco Gomez refused treatment at the scene.

The driver of the Infiniti, Leonardo Martinez, 43, of New Lenox, and his 34-year-old passenger were also taken to Woodstock Centegra Hospital with minor injuries.

No charges had been filed as of late Tuesday afternoon.

McHenry County Deputy Coroner Robert Locke Tuesday said Daniela died from multiple injuries.
