3 banks robbed in St. Louis area
St. Louis-area police are investigating a busy day of bank robberies and believe two of them may be related.
Three robberies occurred Thursday. A man robbed a U.S. Bank branch inside an Edwardsville, Ill., Schnucks grocery store about 1:30 p.m. About 45 minutes later, a similar-looking man robbed the U.S. Bank in Collinsville, Ill.
The third robbery was at the Lindell Bank in O’Fallon, Mo. That robbery occurred at 1 p.m.
No one was hurt in any of the crimes.
