Salt Creek beer tasting is Sept. 7

The Salt Creek Rural Park District is hosting its annual fall beer tasting at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7 under the tent at the Twin Lakes Recreation Area.

This event is well worth the trip, arrive early and check out the first Fall Car Show and Shine sponsored by Arlington Heights Ford. The dealership will present the People’s Choice Award at 6:45 p.m.; registration for the show is required, but free.

The beer tasting is focused on local breweries in the Chicago area. Represented at the tasting are:

타 Lakefront Brewery from Milwaukee, which will bring their amazing Pumpkin Lager along with four other brews

타 Small Town Brewery, famous for their handcrafted micro beers will have five at the tasting

타 The Ram Schaumburg

타 An IPA from Granite City Food and Brewery in Orland Park.

Twenty-five beers will be available to taste, $15 per person.

Enjoy a night of shiny cars, food, games and beer. Preregistration for beer tasting recommended.
