About this Article

Authorities charged two 18-year-olds Friday with the attempted robbery and murder of Megan Boken, ending a nearly weeklong hunt for the Wheaton volleyball star's killer. Police identified Keith Esters and Johnathan Perkins through a cellphone stolen in an earlier robbery near the area of St. Louis where the 23-year-old Boken was fatally shot last Saturday. Prosecutors said both men admitted their involvement.
