Women’s Equality Day is Tuesday
The Lake County Women’s Coalition hosts its annual Women’s Equality Day event on Tuesday, Aug. 28 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Robert Morris University, 1507 Waukegan Road, Waukegan. The event will feature a nonpartisan panel discussion on issues directly affecting women, children and families. Topics that will be discussed include affirmative action, education, civil rights, education equality and health care. To register, call Chairman Debbie Larker at (847) 362-8885. The event is free and a light snack and beverage will be provided.
