Islamic terror still targeting Christians

Father Corey Brost stated that he studied Islam “extensively” (Fence Post, Aug. 19), but I suggest he reread the Quran and look at 9:5, the verses of the sword. Then he should ask himself why Muslims continue to kill Christians.

Ever hear of Coptic Christians in Egypt? The press ignores the killings. Did he ever hear of honor killings — this is murder of daughters (not sons) for becoming too “westernized.” If you leave Islam, you are an apostate, that means any Muslim has the right to kill you.

Since 9/11, there were over 18,000 terrorist attacks from Islamic radicals, yet he compares this to random criminal acts. Congressman Joe Walsh is right to warn us about Islamic radicals, Father Brost should go back to school, as he is just another appeaser. Winston Churchill defined an appeaser as “someone who feeds the alligator hoping to be eaten last.” Wake up America!
