Huntley H.S. award-winning quartet to perform Sunday

Huntley High School’s 2012 Silver Medal Award winning, Quartic Quartet, will perform at the New Tradition Chorus show, “Songs of America,” on Sunday, Aug. 26 at the Huntley High School Performing Arts Center, 13719 Harmony Road in Huntley.

The quartet won its medal at the 2012 Illinois High School Barbershop Harmony Society Championships earlier this year. Singing in the quartet are Dylan Ladd, Andrew Rewerts, Tyler Darnell and Austin Wise.

Also performing on the show will be two Sun City-Huntley barbershop groups, the Sun-Tones and One More Time.

The New Tradition Chorus will feature popular and patriotic favorites including “Over the Rainbow,” “Early American Uptempo Medley,” “King of the Road,” songs from “Mary Poppins,” “Beauty the Beast” and “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Shenandoah,” “A Patriotic Medley” and more.

The show starts at 3 p.m.; doors open at 2:30 p.m.
