Fremd improves to 5-0 in MSL

Fremd’s girls golf team kept its record perfect in the Mid-Suburban League by winning its tri-meet on Thursday at the Palatine Hills Golf Course.

The Vikings improved to 5-0 in the league by shooting a 171 to top Buffalo Grove (178) and Wheeling (223).

Top scorers for the Vikes were Dorothy Feng (41) Jennifer Kim (42), Angie Kim 44 and Katie Hur (44).

BG senior Grace Kil earned medalist honors with a 38 while Jackie Resnick carded Wheeling’s top score with a 48.

Hersey wins: Hersey (168) produced the low score against Barrington (176) and Palatine (200) at the Rob Roy Golf Course.

Hersey junior Flo Eitelbach and Barrington junior Heather Ciskowski shared medalist honors with 39s.

Hersey’s winning score card was completed by senior Katie McIlree (43), junior Claire Schwaba (43), freshman Lexi Heidkamp (43) and Alysia Zaucha (43).

St. Viator d. Lake Zurich: St. Viator won its fourth straight match with a 181-203 triumph over Lake Zurich at the Village Green Golf Course.

Junior medalist Dana Gattone (42) led the Lions followed by junior Chrissy Wimberly (44), senior Haley Gainer (47) and senior Amy Stringfellow (48).
