U12 Schaumburg Flyers finish strong
The SAA Schaumburg Flyers 12U team recently wrapped up its 2012 season on a high note.
Over the Fourth of July weekend they competed in Wheaton’s Red, White and Blue Classic Tournament and went a perfect 5-0 to capture the championship, winning both the semifinal and final games by an identical score of 18-8.
The following week the team traveled to New York, to compete in the Cooperstown National Tournament of Champions at All-Star Village.
After dropping a tough opening game, they again won five straight to secure the fifth seed before finally bowing out in bracket play.
