Harvest Christian d. St. Edward 28-26, 20-25, 29-27: The Lions fought tough and pulled out a tough victory as they defeated the Green Wave in nonconference action. Shannon Igielski and Katie Swanson each recorded 10 kills to lead the Green Wave.
Crystal Lake South d. Bartlett 25-6, 25-6: The Gators (1-0) showed a dominant performance in their first match of the year as they easily defeated the Hawks. Avalon Nero led the Gators with 7 aces and 7 kills while Carly Nolan added 8 kills.
Dundee-Crown d. Streamwood 25-23, 22-25, 25-10: The Sabres (0-1) fell just short as they were defeated in nonconference action. Hannah McGlone and Kaitlyn Hedger recorded 7 and 4 kills, respectively.
