Wolves sign young defenseman Negrin
The Chicago Wolves have signed defenseman John Negrin, a 23-year-old hockey player who split the 2011-12 AHL season playing for the Abbotsford Heat and St. John's IceCaps.
Negrin collected 4 assists and 18 penalty minutes in 40 games. He also recorded 5 assists and 6 points in nine ECHL games with the Utah Grizzlies last year.
Overall, the Vancouver, British Columbia, native accumulated 5 goals, 20 assists, and 25 points in 109 career AHL outings with the Heat and IceCaps. He also made his National Hockey League debut in three games with the Calgary Flames in 2008-09, collecting an assist.
