Divers discover remains in Lake Michigan

STURGEON BAY, Wis. — Door County sheriff’s officials say remains discovered by a group of divers in Lake Michigan could be a diver who disappeared in 1999.

Sheriff Terry Vogel says the divers found the remains over the weekend near Whitefish Bay in about 225 feet of water. WLUK-TV reports the name of the diver is not being released until the identity is confirmed.
