Naperville, Bolingbrook, Wheaton make 'Best Places' list

Money magazine has named three area towns — Naperville, Bolingbrook and Wheaton — among the 100 Best Places to Live among small cities in the United States.

Naperville was the highest-ranked city in Illinois, coming in 53rd on the list. Bolingbrook followed at No. 61 and Wheaton was 80th.

“Money magazine stated that ‘community is king in Naperville' and that is absolutely the truth,” City Manager Doug Kreiger said in a written statement.

Carmel, Ind., took the top spot on the list, which ranked cities with populations between 50,000 and 300,000.
