An audition call for third to ninth graders for the Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" is set for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at the Improve Theater, 735 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. Call backs will be Wednesday, Aug. 29. This traditional retelling of Charles Dickens' timeless classic is for a large cast with many roles for both boys and girls. Three spirits take the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey through his life where he learns the true meaning of Christmas and life. Rehearsals are on Sundays and Mondays beginning Sept. 9.
