Donated items needed for garage sale fundraiser

Allured Business Media is hosting its first charity garage sale to benefit a needy senior citizen served by the Humanitarian Service Project of DuPage County.

Allured Business Media, will match every dollar up to $7,500, with the goal of providing an endowment to add a needy senior to HSP's program forever.

The garage sale will take place on Sept. 7-8 at Allured Business Media's office in Carol Steam.

Community members interested in the event are encouraged to attend or donate items for the event. Allured Business Media is looking for unbroken and unstained items including: furniture, children and baby toys and furniture, lamps, sporting goods, kitchen electronics, household items like glass ware and dishes, tools, exercise equipment, clothing accessories such as belts, purses and scarves, travel luggage etc.

No clothing will be accepted. Donation dropoff dates, times and location are: 1-6 p.m. Fridays, Aug. 17 and 24, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays, Aug. 18 and 25 at the Allured Business Media office, 336 Gunderson Drive, Suite A, Carol Stream.

The garage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7 and Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Allured Business Media office, 336 Gunderson Drive, Suite A, Carol Stream.

All proceeds will go to HSP's Senior Citizen Project, which helps provide food, personal care items and sponsorships for needy seniors within the community. Donations will be greatly appreciated along with attending the garage sale to support the Humanitarian Service Project and its mission to serve and alleviate the pain of those who live in poverty within DuPage and Kane counties.
