BlackFinn restaurant opening at Randhurst Village

A new restaurant coming to Randhurst Village is holding a private, pre-opening fundraiser Friday, Aug. 24, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Women’s Junior League of Mount Prospect.

BlackFinn American Grille bills itself as an American restaurant with a diverse menu of affordable classics, along with an extensive list of beers and specialty cocktails.

“We are thrilled to be opening BlackFinn at the newly renovated Randhurst Village and excited about the team that we’re building to serve our guests,” said operating partner Kevin Finegold.

BlackFinn seats 340 people in nearly 8,000 square feet in the dining room with leather booths and décor highlighting the people and places of the Chicago area and the saloon, with exposed brick accents, a 15-foot by 30-foot bar, and 11 large television screens and three projectors.

The restaurant will be open to the public beginning Saturday, Aug. 25, and will hold a grand opening Sept. 6. The restaurant’s menu will feature items such as blackened Brie, bacon-wrapped meatloaf and ying-yang shrimp, along with a wide variety of salads, steaks, pastas, burgers, flatbreads and desserts.

BlackFinn American Grille restaurants are also located in St. Louis, Houston and Jacksonville, Fla. The Mount Prospect BlackFinn, 157 Randhurst Village Drive, is independently owned and will employ about 150 hourly workers. For information, visit BlackFinnMtProspect.com or call (847) 398-5501..
