S. Elgin Riverfest to host special-needs kids, families

Since 2001, South Elgin's Riverfest Express has reached out to families with "A Special Night for Special Kids." From 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, special-needs families can enjoy free carnival rides, entertainment and food, courtesy of the festival's sponsors. Event organizers say it's their favorite night of the festival.
