YMCA offers health screenings

Rosalind Franklin University Health System’s mobile health unit, Community Care Connection, has scheduled stops at both Lake County Family YMCA branches in September. Blood pressure, blood sugar/diabetes and cholesterol screenings plus BMI (body mass index) and waist measurements will be available to persons of all ages at no charge. In addition, those with questions about healthy eating can get answers from the registered nurse onboard. The Community Care Connection will visit Northern Lake YMCA, 2000 Western Ave., Waukegan, on Monday, Sept. 10, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. It will be at Central Lake YMCA, 700 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills, on Monday, Sept. 17, also from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
