Bond set in sex assault

Matthew Bilecki, 40, of the 43000 block of Mary Avenue, is held in Lake County jail in lieu of $250,000 bail, officials said Friday. Bilecki, a former Antioch Fire Department firefighter, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, criminal sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl, officials said. Antioch Fire Chief John Nixon said Bilecki has not been employed by the department in more than five years. Lake County sheriff’s officials said Bilecki approached the victim and her mother in June 2012 claiming he wanted to photograph the girl for a future modeling career. Bilecki took the girl to his home, got her intoxicated on alcohol, then had sex with her, officials said. Police made the arrest after enforcing a search warrant at Bilecki’s home Thursday. Police also found a loaded handgun at the home. Bilecki, a felon who is not allowed to possess a handgun, was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
