Chicago Wolves sign 20-year-old goalie

The Chicago Wolves have signed 20-year-old goaltender Mathieu Corbeil-Theriault, team officials announced Thursday.

Corbeil-Theriault, a Montreal native, led the QMJHL with a career-high 37 victories and a 2.38 goals-against average, while sharing fourth in the league with a .911 save percentage in 48 outings with the Saint John Sea Dogs last season. He posted a 37-10-1 record and also ranked first in the QMJHL with 6 shutouts.

Corbeil-Theriault also backstopped Saint John to the QMJHL championship and a semifinal appearance in the 2012 Memorial Cup. He recorded a 18-3 mark with a 2.42 goals-against average and .910 save percentage in 21 postseason matchups.
