Homeowner mortgage help topic of Schaumburg forum
The Illinois attorney general’s office is hosting a “Help for Homeowners: Mortgage Resources” event at Community Recreation Center, located at 505 N. Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11. At the free event, advocates and counselors from the Illinois attorney general’s office will provide homeowners with information on homeowner rights, foreclosure prevention, and obtaining no-cost assistance locally and throughout the state. Several lenders will also be on site to assist their borrowers. For information call the Attorney General’s Homeowner Helpline at (866) 544-7151.
