Police: Wisconsin shooting victim was not targeted

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Police say a 15-year-old boy fatally shot in Green Bay was “in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

The accused gunman, an 18-year-old Oneida man, is expected in Brown County Circuit Court Friday. Five other men and a woman are also being held in connection with the death of Jeremy Teller Tuesday night.

Police Lt. Andy Lewis says Teller was not the target of the suspects who were looking for another person that had been in fight with one of them earlier. The seven came looking for that person at Teller’s house.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports police say some of the suspects are cooperating with investigators.
