Summer Splash in Vernon Hills

Vernon Hills resident are invited to the annual Summer Splash from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3 at the Vernon Hills Park District's Family Aquatic Center, 635 N. Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills.
Poolside games, music, kids carnival games, food and other family activities, including duck races, are featured. Ducks are $1 in advance or six for $5.

Tickets for the event are $1 each available only at the Sullivan Community Center, which adjoins the aquatic center. Children under 2 are free. Proof of residency is required. There is no online registration.
The Family Aquatic Center will be closed to the public at 4:30 p.m. Friday for the event.
