Man found electrocuted on el tracks

Investigators in Chicago are trying to figure out what happened to an unidentified man who was found electrocuted on the Chicago Transit Authority’s train tracks.

Police said the man’s body was found near the Blue Line station in the city’s Logan Square neighborhood early Wednesday.

A Chicago Transit Authority spokeswoman says the man touched the electrified third rail, and the Cook County medical examiner’s office says electrocution was the primary cause of his death.

Authorities are working to identify the man and figure out how he got on the tracks. There’s no word yet about whether foul play was involved.
