Wauconda Pet Parade set for Thursday

Pets will be parading down Main Street this week at Wauconda’s second annual “Back to Drool” pet parade.

The event takes place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, when local animal lovers will have a chance to show off their pets — dressed in costumes or all natural — during the Farmers Market in the village’s downtown. Registration and parade lineup will begin at 5 p.m. in front of the Wauconda Activity Center, 100 N. Main Street.

Prizes will be awarded for the costume that shows the best school spirit; owner/pet look-a-like; most exotic pet; and for the best trick. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the parade.

Residents can find registration forms at www.waucondaareachamber.org and email completed forms to Info@BarkNTown.com.
